Fairtrade stall on 1^st and 2^nd March 12.00 till 2.30pm selling various chocolate and biscuit goodies.

Revelz – Stand on the 6^th March at KGH. The SU are supporting the Revelz event and will have a stand there promoting our next event. Guest speaker: Sylvia Lancaster, mother of Sophie Lancaster. Saturday 6th March at King Georges Hall 6pm to 10pm. Open to aged 18yrs - 25yrs. Free event: Ticket info contact Yasmin : 07949726039

Book stall: 9^th March – 10am till 2pm – Sixth form are running an international exchange project with Dominica in the Caribbean. They are currently raising funds to help a group of young Dominicans come to Blackburn next summer.

BA Hons Education Studies Students are carrying out a community activity for part of their Citizenship module and have agreed to run a cake stall for a few hours at lunch time and tea time on the 29^th March with the objective of raising awareness of asylum seekers in Blackburn. Raffle tickets will also be on the stall for an Easter theme prize. Location: Atrium

NM discussed that Lorraine Swinn (studying FdA Special Needs) is working with the SU to set up a fashion show at 41 King Street on the 24^th March at 7pm till 9pm. There will be a dance performance at the beginning of the event by a local dance group and kindly, a local business has given us the opportunity to use their clothes during the fashion show and we will have various stands selling handbags, perfume, makeup and an SU hoodies set up inside. Tickets cost £2.50 and all the money raised will go towards the charity Derain House. NM asked SU team to speak to other students and find out who is interested as we need models, fashion experts and makeup artists.

2^nd July leaving at 7.30am outside the centre and leaving Alton Towers at 6.00pm. Only 49 places available. The trip costs £15.00 as the SU has subsidised the total amount. Please pay at admin and sign a consent form. 

NM asked SU team how we should advertise this event. SU team decided NM will email all students and staff, advertise on facebook, subtv and stick posters up. 

ME emailed NM poster for the event.

NM,SC and QA have been working together to set up a gig at Live Lounge to raise more cash for Haiti. Date 30^th April. More information to follow. 

SC informed that he knows a comedian that will be happy to perform at the gig for free.

SC, ME and QA will be attending the fees meeting on Friday in 313 at 10.00am. NM will film the meeting and will put it on the website. JH to email SU team with the questions for the meeting.

ME discussed that we could advertise through facebook at targeted audiences. ME has a £50.00 voucher to use for this. NM informed that she will fund £50.00 from the SU budget into this. ME to email NM a brief.

NM informed that the chaplaincy will now be in the centre every Thursday from 2.30 onwards in the Curve and atrium.

SC will email IA to talk about the setting up of the Law Society and whether they should leave it now till the next academic year.
