What is a Students' Union?

Student Unions’ are run by students for students. Your SU exists to promote, represent and protect your welfare and interests.

Our mission is to enhance your student experience whilst you’re at our University Centre, Sixth Form or Blackburn College. We do this by working with the university, and sometimes against them, to ensure that you're getting the best experience whilst you're here. Your SU is involved in a range of activities for e.g.; running events and social clubs, drop in clinics for advice, campaigns for charity, providing you with volunteer opportunities and further personal development. We tackle issues from library opening hours to the quality of teaching. We are committed to ensuring equal opportunity for all of you!
