WE NEED YOU (PLEASE!)
DISABILITY ALLIANCE
Do you live, work or study in Blackburn with Darwen?
Are you of working age?
Do you consider yourself to be disabled, for example, are you physically disabled? Have a sight or hearing problem? Have a leaning disability? Have mental health issues?
Do you like to be in control of what happens in your life?
Would you like to help improve the quality of life and life chances of disabled people in Blackburn with Darwen?
IF SO, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!!
The Council is supporting the establishment of a DISABILITY ALLIANCE, a group of disabled people with a range of impairments who will work with the Council and lots of other organisations, e.g. Blackburn with Darwen NHS Care Trust Plus, the Hospital Foundation Trust, Twin Valley Homes, the College etc, in equal partnership, to design, develop and deliver services.
We are particularly keen to involve disabled people who work in the Borough.
If you would like more information, are interested in joining the Alliance, or just want to be kept informed, we would like to hear from you.
