At Blackburn Youth Zone we will be recruiting a committed core of volunteers to ensure we deliver a world-class service to Blackburn’s young people. We have a number of volunteering opportunities available, offering a wide-range of experiences.
Volunteering at Blackburn Youth Zone is your chance to be at the heart of a project that will turn around the options and opportunities for Blackburn’s young people. Find out a little bit more about how you can support your community…

The opportunities available…

Volunteer Youth Worker: Youth Work is an opportunity to create a fun and secure environment for young people to socialise and personally develop.

Volunteer Sports Leader: A chance to build young people’s confidence and teamwork skills, with sports including Football, Basketball, Netball,
Badminton, Climbing and Outdoor Adventure.

Volunteer Arts Leader: With a stimulating and diverse arts programme, including music, dance, drama, design and crafts – Volunteer Arts Leaders will assist in facilitating art groups and workshops – nurturing the creative talents and skills of young people.

Volunteer Mentor: Mentoring provides young people with valuable one-to-one support. Mentors will meet their mentee for an hour each week, whilst attending monthly social events.
