What should I do if I misplace my letter?

If you have misplaced your letter/reply slip please contact the Graduation Team on 01254 292594 or email heawards@blackburn.ac.uk immediately and we will send you a replacement letter.
What time is the ceremony expected to finish?
The ceremony starts at 7.30pm and is expected to finish at approximately 9pm, please note that all graduates are expected to stay in their seats until all the awards have been presented. Graduands are expected to be in their seats no later than 7pm.
When can I collect my Robe?
Robes can be collected between 2pm – 5pm in the Windsor Suite of King Georges Hall. Please can all graduands ensure that they have registered with the awards team before collecting your robe. To order your robe please contact Wippell’s direct on 01392 254234.
When can I get my photographs taken?
Photographs can be taken between 2pm and 5pm on the day of the ceremony. The official college photographers are Ede & Ravenscroft. Photographs can be ordered on their website alternately you can call 01223 861854. http://www.edeandravenscroft.co.uk/
What should I do if I lose my guest tickets?
If you lose your guest tickets please contact the Graduation team immediately to arrange a replacement. What should I do if I have not yet sent back my reply slip but I now wish to attend the ceremony? If you have not yet replied and do still want to attend the ceremony please return your reply slip as soon as possible. If it is less than a two weeks until the ceremony please contact the Graduation team immediately on 01254 292594 or heawards@blackburn.ac.uk.
What if I change my mind about attending the ceremony?
If you change your mind about attending the ceremony please contact the Graduation Team on 01254 292594 or heawards@blackburn.ac.uk. Please contact the team as soon as you decide that you do/do not wish to attend the ceremony to ensure that we can adequately meet your needs.
What if I have not received an invitation?
If you successfully completed your course before August 2009 and have not received your invitation before September 2009 please contact the Graduation team on 01254 292594 or email heawards@blackburn.ac.uk. To send out the invitations we use the name and address that are listed on the official college records. If you have moved house since you started your course it may be possible that your details have not been updated on our systems. To ensure that your records are up to date please contact Registry on 01254 292371. Student who have not paid their fees in full will not be invited to graduation until this issue has been resolved. If this applies to you and you now wish to pay your fees please contact the registry office on 01254 292371.
What should I do if I have changed my name or personal details?
If you have moved house or changed your personal details since you started your course it may be possible that your details have not been updated on Colleges official records. To ensure that your records are up to date please contact Registry on 01254 292371. 
Is there parking available?
The college does not provide parking for the Event however it is possible to park on the college car park after 5pm. The College car park operates a zero tolerance clamping procedure before 5pm daily. Also there are a variety of pay and display car parks around King Georges Hall which are free after 6pm.
What should I wear?
Academic dress is compulsory for all graduands wishing to take part in the graduation ceremony. The official robe maker for the College is J. Wippell and Company LTD. To order your robe please call 01392 254234. It is advised that graduands wear formal clothes to the ceremony. A suit and tie for men and a plain dress or skirt/trouser suit for ladies.
Can my child come to the ceremony?
Children are welcome at the ceremony but please be aware that the Graduation is expected to last for approximately 2 hours. Children under 4 will not need a guest ticket if you intend them to sit on your knee. Children over 4 who require a seat will need a guest ticket.

Can I attend the ceremony if I am still to re-sit a part of my course?
Students who are re-sitting any part of their course in September will not be able to attend the Graduation on 8th October 2009, You will be invited to attend the Graduation in October 2010.
Where is the Graduation Ceremony?
The Graduation takes place in King Georges Hall, Northgate, Blackburn, BB2 1AA.
The date and time of the Ceremony is not suitable for me am I able to change it?
It is not possible to change the date of the Graduation Ceremony. If you are unable to attend you will not be able to attend the Ceremony the following year. To discuss this in more detail please contact the Graduation Team on 01254 292594 or email heawards@blackburn.ac.uk.
When should I expect t receive my guest tickets?
Guest tickets will be posted to your address two weeks before the ceremony. Your tickets will be available for collection upon registering at the Graduation Ceremony.
How many guests can I bring?
Graduands are guaranteed two guest tickets. Extra tickets can be requested by filling in the appropriate field on the student reply slip and returning it to the Graduation team. Due to the size of the graduation Ceremony no graduand will be allocated more than 4 guest tickets, additional tickets are awarded on a firsts come first serve basis.
